The term “organizing” has inspired new momentum as people search for ways to pursue social justice against many forms of institutionalized oppression – Black Lives Matter, reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights among others.

Although organizing has always been a part of strategies for change, the tactics and outcomes are often not addressed or formalized within the context of a campaign.

Please join us for a panel presentation of different social justice campaign models, each employing different tactics and varying levels of success and/or implementation outcomes. Our discussion will also highlight these organizing initiatives as an art form, (ex. The “Hip Hop Movement” in Cuba) open to us all as extensions of our commitment, creativity and self-reflection about our role in society.

Hosted by Fordham School of Professional and Continuing Studies – Westchester
