Can the hidden theology of Star Wars help us to figure out the identity of Rey’s parents? Enjoy trivia, games, and conversation before The Rise of Skywalker to discuss you predictions, share your theories, and have a blast with other fans! We’ll be hosting guests including panelists Kathryn Reklis, Ph.D., associate chair of graduate studies in the theology department; Jack Jenkins, award-winning journalist; and Jim McDermott, S.J., an L.A.-based screenwriter on Twitter as @PopCulturPriest. Don’t miss this event and RSVP early for a chance to win a Lightsaber!

This event will explore the spiritual dimensions of Star Wars through the perspectives of these panelists and will be an opportunity for conversation with the audience in anticipation of the release of The Rise of Skywalker later this year. It will also feature Star Wars and religious trivia, conversations about predictions of the new film, a raffle to win Star Wars swag, and refreshments. Participants are invited to come in costume (not required) and enter for a chance to win the costume contest! Co-sponsored by the Center on Religion & Culture, Campus Ministry, and the Fordham University Filmmaking Club.
