International Art and Handcraft Sale
Saturday, April 22, 2017 – Monday, April 24, 2017
Fordham University collaborates with St. John’s University, Vassar College, Spes Nova, and the Vassar Haiti Project for an international art sale of paintings and handcrafts on April 22, 23, and 24.
Beyond the art sale, there will also be a panel discussion, “Communities at Risk: Social Justice in the Developing World” at 4:00pm on Saturday, April 22 with Dr. Vinay Swami from Vassar, Patrick Struebi, founder of Fairtrasa, and Dr. Sean Murray of St. John’s, and a reception following the panel.
These institutions and organizations are collaborating to raise critically important funds for artisans in developing nations around the world, and to provide a selling platform for these talented people in remote communities. The art sale and panel discussion are free and open to the public; all art and handcraft sales are 50% tax deductible.
