Fordham Graduate School of Social Service invites you to a forum that addresses the needs and potential of the intellectually disabled in New York City. Learn more about the ongoing movement to empower this population, recent research, best practices & challenges in the field, and how you can help these individuals reach their highest potential.

This discussion will include an information session for an Employment Services Program serving individuals with Special Needs, led by Creative LifeStyles, Inc. This is an excellent opportunity for non-profit and for-profit organizations (including colleges & universities) in the five boroughs and Westchester, to partner as employment and/or volunteer placement sites for individuals with special needs in the Bronx that have expressed a strong interest in working and living more independent lives. Each client placed is paid a minimum wage by the state, and is accompanied by a job coach during each placement. Join us to learn how you can have a positive impact in this movement to change lives.

2.5 Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) are available to licensed Social Workers that attend this event.
