Abigail Dziura, a junior at Fordham College at Rose Hill, has been named a winner of the Truman Scholarship, a highly competitive national award that recognizes college students dedicated to public service. A few months ago, Dziura was named a finalist. She is now among 62 students nationwide who have won the scholarship this year, selected from a pool of more than 700 nominees.
An American studies major and a member of the Rose Hill Honors Program, Dziura aims to raise awareness about the experiences of underrepresented and marginalized people, particularly those with disabilities.
