Dear Members of the Campus Community:
Here are this week’s five things you need to know about Fordham’s COVID-19 precautions, vaccinations, and University operations.
Please wear a mask in all indoor public spaces at all times. See the COVID-19 Guidelines on the web for detailed information: fordham.edu/fordhamforward:
- In the last 14 days, 31 members of the University community tested positive for COVID-19, as listed on the University dashboard.
- The student COVID-19 vaccination rate is 99.37% of the in-person population; the employee vaccination rate is 98.9% of the in-person population (note that this a different figure from the email version of Five Things—the email version was in error): the non-vaccinated fractions of a percent represent individuals with official University accommodations. Reminder: the University is making COVID-19 boosters available for all eligible students, faculty, and staff. 30444/covid-19_testing_ resources - The University will follow the New York state guidelines regarding time off (4 hours) for employees to receive a booster shot.
- The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the New York City Department of Health now recommend that individuals who were exposed to a COVID-19 positive person be tested 5 to 7 days after exposure (as opposed to the previous 3 to 5 day window).
- Individuals can customize their VitalCheck daily notifications for a specific time of day and delivery method (text or email) by scrolling down on the daily check-in page for the options.
