Dear Members of the Campus Community:
Here are this week’s five things you need to know about Fordham’s COVID-19 precautions, vaccinations, and University operations:
- In the current period, 33 people in the University community tested positive for COVID-19, a positivity rate of .81 percent, as listed on the University dashboard.
- The University is offering testing every day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Sunday, Feb. 7; beginning Monday, Feb. 8, testing will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays only, excluding University holidays. You can find information and sign up for testing at the University Health Services page.
- Now is not the time to let your guard down: it will be months before there will be a large enough vaccine supply to serve the general public. You should continue to wear a mask, and practice physical distancing of six feet when in public, on campus and off.
- Fordham currently has no vaccines on hand, nor information on when we will begin receiving doses. Current vaccine supply is prioritized for healthcare or government-administered sites.
- If you have been vaccinated, you should continue to follow COVID-19 precautions: Public health authorities have not confirmed that previous COVID-19 infection or vaccination offers complete protection from transmitting the virus.
