Alumni Chapter of Northern California: Monet Exhibit Tour
Saturday, February 23, 2019, 8:30 am – 12:00 pm
Join the Fordham Alumni Chapter of Northern California on a private docent-led tour of “Monet: The Late Years.” This exhibit showcases “Water Lilies,” along with 50 paintings by Claude Monet dating mainly from 1913 to 1926, the final phase of his long career. This exhibit explores how loss—the death of his second wife and the diagnosis of cataracts—spurred Monet to push the boundaries of his practice in both complexity and scale. After the tour, you are welcome to join the group for lunch at the café.
This event costs $40 per person. Senior tickets are also available at $38 per person. Tickets for children under 6 and Fine Arts Museum (FAM) members are $11. Tickets include early entry to view the Monet exhibit before the general public, our docent-led tour, entry to all exhibits in the museum including the Paul Gauguin exhibit “A Spiritual Journey,” and same-day admission to the Legion of Honor.
RSVP by February 12, 2019. Advance registration is required. Payment can be made directly to Mark Di Giorgio.
Our group is limited to 20 people by the museum. RSVPs will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
