In a collaborative effort to promote the use of technology to benefit growth, partnership and education in the Bronx, Fordham University will host the second annual Bronx Technology Conference and Exposition (BTCE) from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 15, at Fordham’s Rose Hill campus.
“The Bronx and Technology: One Community, No Borders,” will feature a panel discussion and varied workshops designed to help start-up and mid-sized businesses, health care institutions, educators, and not-for-profit organizations incorporate the use of technology into everyday business practice. Workshops topics include: electronic tools for literacy, public health applications, assistive technology, distance learning, and resources for funding technology projects.
Participants can view products and services at the exposition, where company representatives will be available for demonstrations and assistance. The conference and exposition is sponsored by Bell Atlantic, Citigroup N.A., and IBM in cooperation with Fordham University, Bronx Information Network, Bronx Council on the Arts, Bronx Council on the Arts Development Corp., Bronx Overall Economic Development Corp., and Bronx Chamber of Commerce.
