Fordham University will host a conference on the prevention of high-risk drinking among college students with the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) in the 12th-floor lounge of Lowenstein Center, Lincoln Center campus, on Wednesday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The conference will bring together student affairs administrators, prevention professionals, health educators, and health and counseling services staffs from colleges and universities in and around New York City.

Speakers include New York City Council Member Peter Vallone Jr., of Queens; Council Member Helen Foster of the Bronx; Ralph Hingson, Sc.D., the NIAAA director of epidemiology and prevention research; Vivian Faden, Ph.D., co-chair of the NIAAA Initiative on Underage Drinking; Mark Goldman, Ph.D., Distinguished Research Professor at the University of South Florida; Robert Saltz, Ph.D., Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation; and Joseph M.
