From the Office of the Vice President for Administration:
Dear Members of the Campus Community:
Here are this week’s five things you need to know about Fordham’s COVID-19 precautions and University operations at the Thanksgiving break:
- In the period from November 8 through 21, seventy-nine people in the University community tested positive for COVID-19.
- The Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention strongly recommends you get a seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine now. The CDC expects the number of both flu and COVID-19 infections to rise over the winter months.
- Though there are at least two promising vaccines in trials, the number of COVID-19 infections is still rising in 45 states. Read advice from four experts on how to have a safe Thanksgiving.
- The University has published a schedule for testing and building closures from Thanksgiving to February 1, 2021.
- The is the last edition of Five Things until the week of February 1, 2021. We wish you all a happy, healthy holiday season, and a great new year.
