Fordham Law School’s Forum on Law, Culture & Society will take a look back at the highly rated 1980s television legal drama L.A. Law on Thursday, Nov. 15, with two of the show’s cast members: Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker.
Eikenberry and Tucker, who played litigator Ann Kelsey and tax attorney Stuart Markowitz, respectively, will discuss the way L.A. Law influenced how lawyers are depicted, as well as how the series paved the way for other legal dramas, such as Law & Order.
The discussion, “L.A. Law, Remembered: A Conversation with Cast Members Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker,” will be moderated by Thane Rosenbaum, John Whelan Distinguished Lecturer in Law and director of the Forum on Law, Culture & Society.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 8 p.m. in the Time Warner Center, 58th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. Seating is limited. For more information and to RSVP, call (212) 636-7295 or visit www.fordhamlawandculture.org. The forum is a public humanities program that invites the public to satisfy its intellectual curiosity on matters of law, justice and civil society in an engaging, respectful town hall setting.
