professor of theology, gave an invited lecture entitled “Christians and Monsters in the History of Sexuality” at Columbia University.
Shonni Enelow, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES,
assistant professor of English, has been chosen as the winner of the 2015-2016 George Jean Nathan Award for Dramatic Criticism for her book Method Acting and Its Discontents (Northwestern University Press, 2015).
Tina Maschi, Ph.D., GSS,
associate professor of social work, published “Exploring the Association between Race and Health among Older Adults Who Are Incarcerated” in the journal Social Work in Public Health on February 3.
Mark Naison, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES,
professor of African and African American Studies and history, and principal investigator of the Bronx African American History Project (BAAHP), participated in the New York Public Library’s “Author at the Library” program on February 27, where he discussed his latest book, Before the Fires: An Oral History of African American Life in the Bronx from the 1930’s to the 1960’s (Fordham University Press, 2016).
Aristotle Papanikolaou, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES,
Archbishop Demetrios Chair in Orthodox Theology and Culture and co-director of the Orthodox Christian Studies Center, gave a lecture entitled “Church and Politics in Russia” at St. Louis University on February 15. He also provided a short response, “Trinity, Deism and Evolution,” at an international conference in Athens, Greece on February 24-25.
