On June 30, Fordham’s Graduate School of Education and the Manhattan Psychological Association hosted an event to honor the 100th birthday of internationally renowned psychologist Jerome Bruner, PhD.

Over 75 students and colleagues attended the fete, which began with a lecture and forum on the history of psychology in Manhattan and ended with Bruner and his friends sharing stories, laughs, and a giant birthday cake.

Known for his contributions in cognitive and educational psychology, Bruner has taught at Harvard, Oxford, and is currently a senior research fellow at New York University.
