Lesley Massiah-Arthur, ADMINISTRATION, associate vice president of the Office of Government Relations and Urban Affairs and special assistant to the president, was named to the Schneps Media 2023 Power Women of the Bronx due to her excellence in business and the community. 

Ipsita Banerjee, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, has been selected by the 2023 MARM Awards Committee as the winner of the 2023 E. Emmet Reid Award in Chemistry Teaching at Small Colleges in the ACS Middle Atlantic Region.

Robb Hernández, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, associate professor of English, has won a nationally competitive fellowship for next year at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

Robert J. Parmach, Ph.D., ADMINISTRATION, director of Ignatian mission initiatives, Office of the Vice-President for Mission Integration and Ministry, served as a keynote panelist at the 2023 JASPA (Jesuit Association of Student Personnel Administrators) Annual Conference which was held at Boston College on April 1.

Cheretta Robson, ADMINISTRATION, senior associate director, Career Center for Cura Personalis, served as co-chair of the planning committee of the 2023 JASPA (Jesuit Association of Student Personnel Administrators) Annual Conference, which was held at Boston College on April 1.

Cristina Traina, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of theology, and Avery Cardinal Dulles, S.J. Chair in Catholic Theology, delivered the annual Madaleva lecture, “Feminism, Finitude, and Flourishing: On ‘Being Mortal, Like Everyone Else’ (Wis 7:1)” on April 13. 

Larry Welborn, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, professor of New Testament and early Christianity,  published a review essay of new books on “Early High Christologies” in the journal Early Christianity 14 (2023) 111-117.

Christiana Zenner, Ph.D., ARTS AND SCIENCES, associate professor of theology, led a workshop for Wayne State University Law Students titled “International Law, Ethical Claims regarding Waters, and the role of Catholic Social Teaching” on April 14 via Zoom.
