SUMMARY:Sole to Soul Sock Drive and Reception
DESCRIPTION:The Fordham University Association (FUA) is seeking new pairs of men’s socks to be given to Cat Fernando\, FCLC ’20. Cat will distribute the socks to people who are experiencing homelessness in NYC. Socks are the most needed but least donated clothing item in the homeless community. Bring your socks or a $5 donation to the reception\, meet Cat\, enjoy food and drink\, and meet your fellow Fordham souls. SUMMARY:All-Jesuit Day of Service with The Bronx is Blooming
DESCRIPTION:Join fellow Jesuit-educated alumni and current Fordham students for a day of service! \nWe’re partnering with Fordham’s Center for Community Engaged Learning and The Bronx is Blooming\, a community-building nonprofit that helps develop youth leaders through park restoration. Our work will help preserve the history and ecology of Crotona Park through tasks such as gardening\, tree care\, and erosion control. \nVolunteers are encouraged to travel independently to the work site via public transit or other means\, but a limited number of seats will be available on Ram Van shuttles from Fordham’s Lincoln Center campus (113 W. 60th St.). Sign up for a Ram Van seat on the registration form. \nNote: Our specific meeting place will be announced soon.
