SUMMARY:Alice in Chinatown: Chol Soo Lee’s Fight for Freedom — APALSA Reenactment
DESCRIPTION:On the evening of June 3\, 1973\, a man was shot and killed on a crowded street in San Francisco’s Chinatown in a suspected gang murder. Within days\, the police arrested Chol Soo Lee\, a 20-year-old Korean immigrant. He was convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. In prison\, he killed a white gang member in a fight and was given the death penalty.
