DESCRIPTION:In celebration of the vibrant Puerto Rican community in New York City\, join us for “Roberto Clemente: Born Twice\,” an exhibit honoring the life and legacy of Roberto Clemente. The exhibit by visiting Puerto Rican artist Pablo Marcano García will highlight different aspects of Clemente’s extraordinary life: a Hall of Fame baseball star\, Afro-Puerto Rican trailblazer\, and passionate humanitarian. \nDuring the opening reception for this historic exhibit\, García will unveil two masterpieces dedicated to Clemente. The event will feature Bobby Sanabria\, who was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album in 2019\, and Quarteto Aché with hors d’oeuvres by ChocoBar Cortes.

SUMMARY:Guided Remnants of New Amsterdam Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join Untapped New York’s chief experience officer Justin Rivers\, FCRH ’01\, for a guided tour around lower Manhattan. Explore where New York began and see what is left of Dutch New Amsterdam in today’s lower Manhattan. You will hear about New York’s founding myths and facts while standing in the very spots where they all happened. With New York City’s first map in hand\, you will trace the streets of Manhattan in 1667 while discovering the many hidden Dutch relics south of Wall Street. Physically touch history as your spend time finding out how Bowling Green got its name and why it’s been so important in our city’s history. Among the many relics you will experience on this tour are the foundations of New York City’s first City Hall (which was also a tavern)\, the long-forgotten oyster pastry cannon\, the original battery wall\, and so much more! \nThe ticket cost includes both the tour and lunch. \nThe walking tour will be two hours. Additionally\, please note that our tour will take place rain or shine.
