NEW YORK— Judith Mills, Ph.D., has been named the interim vice president for academic affairs at Fordham University.
For more than 30 years, Mills has served the Fordham community, as both a faculty member and administrator. She most recently worked on the University’s integrated strategic plan. She also served as the vice president for academic affairs at Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I. during the 1990s.
“I am confident her extensive experience in higher education and her encyclopedic knowledge of and deep devotion to Fordham will enable the University to move forward with focused purpose until a successor is named,” said Joseph M. McShane, S.J., president of Fordham University.
Mills is replacing John C. Hollwitz, Ph.D., who served as the University’s vice president for academic affairs since July 2000. He will return to Fordham as a University professor following a one-year sabbatical.
