The Bronx African-American History Project (BAAHP), a research initiative led by Fordham’s Department of African and African American Studies in partnership with the Bronx County Historical Society, has received a $25,000 grant from the Teagle Foundation for an academic summer program in history for Bronx high-school students. The project is a joint undertaking of the University’s community service office and BAAHP, in collaboration with the Citizens Advice Bureau, a nonprofit settlement house that runs a youth enrichment program for college-bound teenagers in the Bronx.

The Bronx African-American History Project documents the history of people of African descent in the Bronx.
