Plan B was journalism. DiLella snagged an internship with NY1 as a sophomore and has been there ever since. While he has done nearly every job at the station, there’s nothing that excites him more than interviewing his idols on his television show.

Gina Vergel, senior director of communications, says the videos, available on the website, have a variety of uses. Along with pitching the experts to external media and using the content on the university’s social media channels, the videos also benefit the faculty themselves. “Several of the faculty embed them onto their own websites, as well as their Fordham website faculty pages. The videos are also an opportunity for the faculty with less experience in front of the camera to get comfortable in front of one and hone their speaking-to-the-media skills.” Tom Stoelker, writer and associate director of visual media, says the production of the videos has been scaled down in recent years to make the process easier, while still being innovative. “Each year, we innovate a bit more stylistically, incorporating music, motion graphics, one stationary camera and one handheld, and use color backgrounds that pop on a social media scroll.”

Joseph went to Cardinal Farley Military Academy in Rhinebeck and went on to get his degree from Fordham University. He owned Pilgrim Promotions for many years prior to his retirement. He had a passion for antique cars, both driving them and restoring them. He had his private pilot’s license and enjoyed spending time with his beloved family.

After completing residencies in Rochester, New York, Cleveland, Ohio and San Francisco, California, Chris chose to settle in Midcoast Maine where in 1974, he set up private practice as an ENT/Head and Neck surgery specialist in Knox County.
